Yankton, SD — Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C. created a scholarship program 28 years ago to promote higher education and to provide resources for area students interested in health care. The scholarship program helps YMC fulfill its vision to be an independent regional center of medical excellence committed to quality care and medical education. The application process for the academic year 2025-26 is currently open, and applications are due by March 15, 2025.

YMC awards several scholarships for students in high school, those currently enrolled in a college or university, and Pillar III medical students at USD SSOM.

Guidance counselors at high schools, and Financial  Aid offices in South Dakota and Nebraska, within the YMC service area, have received the 2025-26 application and information to share with their students and encourage them to apply. A list of eligible schools, full details, criteria, and applications for each scholarship, can be found on our website at madj.tiemles.com/scholarships/. Students are encouraged to be proactive in going online to read the updated qualifications, to complete the requirements, and get their applications mailed in.
